Counseling Referrals in Western Washington
The Journey Program at Seattle Children's Hospital is a grief support program for families whose child has died. This program offers bereavement education and training for the community. Support groups meet on alternate Wednesday evenings from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. at 70th and Sand Point. Please call 206-987-2062 for exact room location.
Arlene Thomas is a grief counselor with experience that includes working with individuals, couples, and families dealing with issues such as: grief, loss, adjustment, depression, anxiety, premarital, and marital issues. As a mother who lost her firstborn son to SIDS, Arlene has a special interest in supporting parents who have lost children, working with them to discover ways of moving forward in life while continuing to honor their children.
The Bridges Program is a family grief support center serving families with children ages 4-18 who have experienced the death of a parent or sibling.

Hospice of Spokane has a wonderful support group for parents that have lost a child and offer a separate one for children grades 1-12 along with a summer camp.
The St. Joseph Family Center offers individual, group, couple, marriage, child and family therapy; family mediation services; educational workshops/classes; healing arts and body therapy; spiritual direction; retreats and outreach workshops. We are a non-profit professional counseling center embracing a 'Family Systems' orientation.
